Stamp with Us sketch

Hi Everyone, hope your weekend is going nicely.

Here's todays sketch from Stamp With Us.

And here's my take on it, I love this paper. It's the Bella Bleu DSP, so elegant :)

And I'm so sad this is little stamp set will no longer be available as of tomorrow. Sale-a-bration has really be great this year :)

Hope you like, why not give it a go?

Stamp with us

So I know it's Mother's day but here's a card for a man.

The theme this fortnight on SWU is to make a man's card, which I always struggle with because I love everything girly !

I masked off two sides and stamped in the space between to make a faux border.

Hope you like it! It was tough using the last of my Old Olive card stock for this, must remember to order more!

Hope your enjoying your Mother's day whether your spending time with your children, parents or bump!

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.

Happy Birthday SJ !!!

It's my lovely friend SJ's birthday today, I hope you have a fantastic day!

I met SJ at the Stampin' Up! convention in Germany last year, she's such a fab girlie :o)

For her card I used the Good Friend set and added some bling.

The colours are Rose Red, Regal Rose with Whisper White and Kraft.

It's not a colour combo I would normally go for but think it works really well.

For the tail, I stamped it once for the main image and again onto some scrap Whisper White, I inked up the stamp with one colour (Regal Rose), then carefully around the edges in the other (Rose Red) - cut out then adhered to the image underneath, allowing it to over hang.

I hope you like!

And just look at that ribbon, it's the Whisper White satin ribbon and I love it lots, it ties beautifully! (sad, moi?)

take care.

Another year flies by!

Hi everyone,

Today Stu and I celebrate our 7th anniversary, can't believe it's been that long!!

For those of you who don't know, we went to school together and we started 'going out' while away in New York with the rest of the year. And he truly is my best friend (I know, I know - pass the bucket!)

And this is his card:

We said we wouldn't buy each other gifts this year as we're planning on going away instead so I made him this little box with some chocolates.

It's made using Real Red card, Whisper White stain ribbon, punch outs from the Heart to Heart punch and some faux stitching!

Then I filled up a small cello bag with some chocolates (which were reduced because the box was damaged !! ) and tied with some silver elastic cord.

We're off out for a meal now and some shopping, hope you have a relaxing day.

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.

Treat bag

Hi everyone.

Here's one of the projects I mentioned we did at Julie's class at the weekend.
I love those colours, makes me feel all summer-y.

It has a little cello bag inside which fits two Taz's (?) perfectly!

Still haven't finished off my cards from the weekend (tut tut), but I will soon because I wanna show you the tin! It's gorge, and I'm gonna have to try and get my mitts on some more...

Sorry its a really short post today, I've been a bit sidetracked this morning and I'm running a bit behind.

(You'll have to wait a little longer before I can reveal what's eaten up most of my day!)

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.

What a pair !

... another fabulous promotion from Stampin' Up!

If you didn't already know, many of our stamp sets have coordinating punches to make your projects special.

And now Stampin' Up! have given us an extra treat... the full heart punch! The full heart punch is only available for this one month or while stocks last!!!! ...unless you want to wait until September for the new catalogue... nope. Me neither!!

Now, this offer starts from 1st of March to the 31st of March, you can get the punches listed in the flyer above with a 20% discount when buying any coordinating stamp sets.

So make your wish list and get ready for the rush to order, I know this punch is gonna be so popular. It will be available in the new catalogue which comes out in September - but I certainly can't wait that long and I doubt you can either!

If you need this punch as much as I do, e-mail me today at craftychick001@yahoo.co.uk and I will order it as soon as it turns 1st of March.

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.

Hectic weekend

Hi everyone,

I'm back from Leeds and had a brilliant time although I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep!!

The projects that Julie had prepared for the class were just gorgeous, I will share photos with you soon (not today because we were too busy yapping - I didn't finish them lol)

Here's a quick one of the box we made (and my cup of tea!), I love those colours.

Julie had organised for her friend to make cupcakes.

I really shouldn't have... but sooo glad I did :o)

Then we went for a meal afterwards. Was really nice to be able to spend a whole day just chatting about crafting and stash!

What a fab lot of girls these are :o)

Hope your weekend was equally as nice.

Thanks for stopping by,

Colour challenge over on Stamp With Us.

The challenge this fortnight was to take inspiration from the colour in this picture.

How cute are they btw, I want some!!

I used the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set, I thought I might as well seeing as those cupcakes are so cute!

I used the eyelet border punch too, punched a strip of card stock and then snipped up from the flat edge so I could manipulate it around a circle.

Why not give it a try?

Check out the other cards from the design team on Stamp With Us.

More valentine treats!

Happy Valentine's eve!

As avid crafters you may browse through youtube like me, searching and searching for inspiration...

This is one of my favourite places to learn new techniques as I've always been more of a 'visual learner' so really appreciate the time and effort that is put into making such videos.

I recently came across this video from my fellow Stampin' Up! demo Michelle. I believe this is her first video, and what a brilliant job she did at it!

She shows you how to make these little Valentine matchbooks.

They are so adorable and really simple to make, I've made these to go along with the Love Note cards I shared with you on Tuesday.

Notice I've used the Heart 'o plenty wheel (again!) instead of patterned paper.

Inside mine, I enclosed some Love hearts but it's really versatile that you could use pretty much any sort of chocolate or sweets.

Thank you Michelle for your great tutorial.

Now this post is going out a lot earlier than my others lol, I don't normally see 5am but I've gotta catch the 6:20am train. I'm making my way over to Yorkshire to see my convention roomie, the lovely Julie and taking part in her all day class!! I'll also be seeing SJ and Jeannette again, haven't seen them since last November so I'm sure it's gonna be a lot of fun! I'll make sure I get pictures and will share when I'm back!!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.

A Basket of hearts...

Ok, so I ended up nicking one of the chocolates after all!!
(Don't tell my mum, we're supposed to be on a 'health kick'!)

And yes, it was yummy :o)

Today I want to share with you a little treat basket I made following the video by Dawn on Youtube. You can see it here.

I just changed the colours a bit and added some chocolate hearts. I was surprised at how easy and quick it was to put together.

So easy in fact, that I'm planning to do another for Easter with some mini Creme eggs - uh oh - even more temptation...

And as you can see, I got to use my Hearts 'o plenty wheel again!

Right, I'm off to meet Linda, a new addition to my Stampin' Up! team so will have to love you and leave you.

If you'd like to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator or would just like some more information just send me an e-mail and I'll be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

For joining my team you will receive a FREE Stampin' Pad and reel of 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon in your choice of colours as a little thank you from me, as well as ribbon samples and a colour chart.

Also,
if you sign up before the end of SAB (28th of Feb) you will receive a FREE stamp set worth up to £38.95 from the current catalogue - bonus!!

I am rewarded for my hobby, and you can be rewarded too!

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.

Love is in the air...!

With Valentine's day creeping closer and closer I've been using my Love you much stamp set and Heart to Heart punch to death! I can hear a faint groan whenever I reach for them...

Although I have to say, I think they are perfect for anniversaries too.

This is one I did for a swap over on ILWS. I saw it in one of the US publications SU! do and gasped at those colours together. I'd never have put them on the same card yet they look so great together! I knew I just had to case it lol.

I used Kraft, Sahara Sand (available in the Neutral card pack), Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise and So Saffron with Whisper White Kraft ink for the polka dot background.

I think the sentiment from Whimsical Words says it so perfectly that I'm going to make a smaller version for a gift tag to go on Stu's present for our anniversary next week. It's such a shame that this set is only available untill the end of this month, if you have to have it (Like I did, and it's understandable!) it is FREE with any purchases over £45 from the Stampin' Up! catalogue.

Anyway, that's enough from me for today.

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.

Love you much!

Hi everyone, hope your week is going well so far.

I've been shopping and got in a load of sweets and chocolate for my valentine's gifts and general treats, and it is taking ALL my willpower not to have a nibble....

Today I want to share with you a cute little card that I'll be giving to my close girl friends and girl family members.

I've used one of the Love Notes and stamped the heart from the Love You Much stamp set then picked out a few details with my white gel pen.

*Happy Accident time*

Now, you'll notice the 'you' coming from behind the heart... I'd love to say it was done on purpose but it wasn't lol. I stamped the 'Love (heart) you' sentiment from Sealed with a kiss and planned on having some punched out hearts scattered around but changed my mind last minute and covered the first part of the wording with the big heart from the Love You Much set.... and I like!

I then went around the whole card with some faux stitching with one of the Stampin' Markers and had a go at doing the eyelet border which I think looks fab, will have to try it more often! Reminds me of pretty lace.

I got to use my Hearts 'o plenty wheel for the trillionth time too, I *heart* it. (Geddit? lol)

Will hopefully get a chance to share the valentine's treats I've made to go with them soon (full of the chocolate and sweets I WILL resist) - well, if I say it over and over it might come true...

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.

Drum roll please................

............... and the winner of my SU! Birthday bog candy is:

Lyn W !

Congrats Lyn, I will be in touch to arrange for this to be sent to you.

Before I go, I want to make a quick apology, since Christmas I have not been blogging much. This is partly to do with life being rather busy at the moment and we received some unexpected news in the family (nothing bad, just surprising! And I hope I'm able to talk about that a bit more soon)

I'm getting back into the swing of things now after my little break so please don't desert me !

I met up with Vicki and Keren again tonight for a crafty/chatty night (mostly chatty hehe) and it was so lovely to properly get crafting again, it's hard to believe I've hardly touched my stamps since Christmas. We had a little project each to share so will blog those on Thursday.

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.
